Weekend At The Lake
The hardest place to keep on sunscreenIt was our first time on jet skis, and Sharon & I both had a blast. The lake’s temperature was perfect, too. I got a little red on my shoulders, despite using sunscreen, but that’s just what I get for being so darned Aryan.

Weary
It is amazing how many skin care and hair care products you can use in a day.
So last night, I was out per usual hanging out and talking with Eunice… until 3-something. I get home and wash (to get the smell of the crap cologne/perfume off of me) and go through all of my god-forsaken skin, hair and tooth care products, then sit down to read a chapter of stuff to get me all tucked away and happy… and end result? I’m sleeping at4:30 and even the sound of the midnight sprinklers which start at 3 have died. Great, whatever, I figured. I don’t need to really get up until 10 anyway, and that’s far enough away that I’ll get enough sleep to get by.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame
Shade may be the best sunscreen.
It was hot. Really Really Hot. We covered our very pale selves in maximum strength sunscreen and wore light pants and white shirts. Since we had our student IDs, tickets were half price. The only exception to this is the dollar tickets, which are a dollar no matter what. However, we figured it was worth an extra six-fifty each to sit in the shade. As it turns out, it would have been worth even more than that!

The Outing
Good to see sunscreenThis weekend we have a huge camping trip planned with lots of our friends and their kids and dogs. It’s going to be a blast. All the women were even smart and came up with a shopping list we divided up so we don’t waste food and we can all have the same meals. Rachel is planning some craft projects for the kids and I know Tully will love hanging out with his friend Kietz and she’ll get to meet Pete and Molly’s dog McGruff. We’ll be on a lake so we’re buying floaties to float around on the water. I’ll definitely be putting on sunscreen so I don’t get burned again like I did when kayaking. Brandon and Liz are bringing their boat, so we’ll probably go out on the boat a bit. I’m really looking forward to it.

The New Teenage Body Image
Kids these days!
These shortcuts tend to include such over-the-counter products as creatine, protein supplements, and amino acid formulations, which are often sold at gyms, and even more dangerous products such as growth hormones, anabolic steroids and injectible steroids, which are purchased illegally. The effects of the over-the-counter products and the proper dosages to use are not well known, opening the door to possible body damage from continued use. The dangers of steroid use are well known, however, and the list of both physical and psychological effects they can cause is thoroughly documented. This list includes high blood pressure and heart disease, liver damage, cancers, strokes and blood clots, “roid rage?, severe mood swings and paranoia. Despite some adverse publicity from former football players, and the negative publicity about baseball players such as Rafael Palmeiro, teenagers continue to look for shortcuts to the toned and buff look that is becoming increasingly popular.

Letting Go
Nice when you can be who you are, stretch marks and all.
Ryan also pointed out another change in me that he really likes, “you’re not as vain.” I was perplexed by that because I spend just as much time getting ready in the mornings and quite possibly more time straining my neck at the mirror to see the progression of stretch marks dancing across my ass. His point was, “you don’t ‘get ready’ just to go to the grocery store anymore. That’s nice. You don’t have to be on top of your game all the time.”

Lotion
From a great pregnancy journal, this bit on stretch marks.
Last night(Sunday night) sore boobs a little more than the usual. I have been sleeping in a sleeping bra for 2 weeks now since I have been having problems with them being sore since then, but last night was a little worse. I have been putting lotion on them and my belly every night to help prevent stretch marks.

Fish Oil
Fun post on supplements including, of course, fish oilOne of the things I pick up, and about which I’ve previously written, is fish oil. I get it because publications, legitimate and otherwise, have been talking about all the fantastic possibilities about packaging icthyologous slick in pills and swallowing it.

Organic Skin Care
Good post on the search for natural skin careWhen I started my quest for organic and chemical free skin care I started the search at my local grocery store which happens to be Whole Foods. I went and spoke to their helpful staff and gave them my ideal profile for a skin care line, again chemical free and organic. By the way, I did this on a number of different occasions at different Whole Foods stores, with different staff in and around my city.

Infected Feet
This is disgusting skin care ... but it worked!
The maggots on the foot were eating all of the lady’s dead cells. They were cleaning her feet for months so no dead cells were left. The disease the woman had was diabetes and ulcers. The purpose of the maggots was to clean her out. What the maggots does is it cleans parts of your body without blood so what the maggots were doing was they were eating all of the dead skin that was left. An infection was leaving dry skin on her foot which is why the maggots were all in one spot.

Procrastination v2.0
For some people, diet and exercise is for weight reduction. For others, it's for mental health.
Yes, yes indeed. It looks like my procrastional nature have finally boiled up over the brims, and is spilling into my everyday life. I had a paper due for my first summer class, it was origionally due on July 15th, but the professor told me I could get it to him whenever. And of course, I haven’t bothered to start it. But my other paper is due in a week. And the deadline on this one is strict. And of course, I had to write a post in the blog instead of work on it. Actually I am working on it some in the background. I’m up to page 3. Only 9 pages to go. I just wonder when I’m going to get this straight. Honestly I just want some Strattera because I’ve had ADD since I was a kid, but my doctor refuses to prescribe it. He wants me to go on this special diet and exercise and get enough sleep.
