Red Bull Or Redline?
Supplement maker Vital Pharmaceuticals, Inc., manufacturer of the Redline RTD energy drink, recently filed suit against Red Bull GmbH, manufacturer of the popular Red Bull energy drink. The suit for a declaratory judgment stems from a cease and desist letter sent to Vital by Red Bull in which Red Bull asserted trademark, trade dress and dilution claims against Vital.

Wash Your Hands ... Carefully
Who knew that hand washing could lead to dry skin and infections!
Studies have shown that a reason oft-repeated by healthcare workers as to why they aren’t always compliant with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s “Guideline for Hand Hygiene in Healthcare Settings”1 is because frequent washing causes dry, cracked skin. That’s not just an aesthetic problem; it’s an occupational hazard for themselves and their patients. Cracks in dry skin provide perfect hiding places for pathogens that can be transferred from Healthcare workers’ (HCWs) hands to sick patients in the blink of an eye.

Helping Parents Stay Fit
Some great diet and exercise tips for seniors.
Mall walking in the mornings can be a great alternative. Many seniors mall walk for a while, but an illness might stop the walks and they never continue. That might be something they would try again, if it’s suggested.

The Right Exercise Equipment
Finding the right home workout equipment is important!
This time of year has caused me to go a bit nuts both this year and last year. When I moved to NY I had to give up the fairly extensive home gym I had built. My cottage simply doesn’t have room for the equipment. This leaves me unable to workout though once the clocks change because of the cold and the dark - my weight bench is out in the barn. Last year I partially solved this problem by getting a dance pad and making an ass of myself playing dance video games, which are a decent cardiovascular workout even if they make you look ridiculous. No one was around to see so what did I care. Still, I crave something better. I did a good bit of research over the past few months and settled on a Concept 2 rowing machine which I ordered today.

Yes, There's Velveeta In My Refrigerator
A good post on the dietary needs of the skin-challenged family.
If you blog about skin care, you can submit your post to Blog Carnival with the submit button at the top of the left column. The other day I went to the local health food store to get a few things like some of these and some of this. You see, some of our offspring have some extremely sensitive eating issues. With the most severe being the youngest with his allergy to dairy. When he eats dairy the poor little cowboy looks as if he’s contracted a very bad case of leprosy. It starts with basic dry skin, turning red, then swelling just above the level of the skin surface with blisters and finally each one ruptures into tiny little oozing, scabbing, discustingness. (Yes, I just made up that last word and I think it’s a good one.) This is severe eczema with secondary infections.

Here's a skin care vote for HerbalifeI have been using Herbalife's NouriFusion™ MultiVitamin Skin Care Products with great success - they do not try to cover up or camouflage your skin. Instead, they work by helping men and women bring out the healthy, vibrant skin with which they were born.

Clear Skin
It does seem funny to have skin care ads that feature people without acne.
Random hate: People advertising Clearasil/Oxy/Freederm who have never seen Acne in their life. This really really gets to me. I can’t tell you how much.
