Also, the focus on folic acid puzzles me. I did only the most cursory google search to see what the story is with it. I don’t doubt that it’s critically necessary to making new people, but why is it so hard to get enough folic acid in your diet? Where could you get it naturally that you wouldn’t have to take supplements? Spinach, quinoa, beans, nuts, healthy vegetables. Oh. So basically, it’s in virtually everything but in what America is eating. Not a single sentence in this WP report mentions diet or nutrition.
