Hong Kong Version Of Sephora

skin care sephora If you need an alternative to Sephora, check this out.

I have been ordering beauty and skin care products from Sephora for many years. Recently, my sister told me about an alternative website, www.Sasa.com, hosted in Hong kong. Besides carrying most US and European brands, Sasa also carries some of the leading Asian brands such as Laneige, Kose, SK-II, Kanebo, DHC, Chen Yu, etc. Its hard to find most of these brands in the US. Even better, the prices on Sasa are lower than most retail prices. All purchases are shipped directly from Hong Kong, therefore, here is no sales tax. Sasa also offer free shipping for orders greater than $75.

Versace On The Eyes

skin care versace glasses Glasses from Target or Versace? You make the call.

I went to buy glasses today, determined to get the whole thing over with. I’ve been looking for way to long! Well, naturally I didn’t find anything nice at the eye care place in Target because well, to be honest the guy there was just annoying and I didn’t feel like dealing with him anymore so I just stated that I didn’t like anything and we left. (Annoying sales person = not good) We went to Perl Vision down route 18 and the place was much nicer. The lady was funny, and quite a bit nicer, and less annoying, then the guy at Target. Naturally, being in the giant store, there was a much larger selection and NATURALLY the really big “Versace” sign could not be ignored. I mean come on, it was such a pretty sign! So, I went over and found a really nice pair of glasses and now I’m very happy with them.

Real Sex Appeal

skin care acne Real sex appeal is more than skin deep and not necessarily acne-free.

I liked that I was well known for being quick-witted, and formidable in debate. I liked knowing that my peers respected me as one of the “smart kids” and that when I told people what I wanted to do with my life, they believed that I could do it, and do it well. Somehow this whole sex thing seemed to detract from the point. Or maybe I just liked to envision the playing field as a fair one. Equality all around. Beauty (or lack of it) didn’t matter - it’s what you did with yourself. School also perpetuated that. You passed an exam because you were competent - not because you were acne-free.

Pool

skin care sunscreen pool Forgot the sunscreen.

Today, whilst my colleagues were roasting in the jam factory I went off with Jo to our local outdoor pool in Hinksey - wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Other Aldates people were there…piggy in the middle with a weird small floppy frisbee…chips…icecream….and sunburn - yes, I’m silly, I didn’t put any sunscreen on and got just a tad burnt. Ah well, it was worth it.

Rosacea Help

skin care rosacea This blogger likes the way the Clarsonic facial brush takes care of rosacea.

So, all in all, a very successful product trial for me. I will continue to use it! It makes me feel a lot better about how I look (and my rosacea has been at times a huge source of personal angst). I’m grateful that my friend Heather pointed me to the study. I’m certain I wouldn’t have gone out and bought a Clarisonic - assuming that it wouldn’t work for my rosacea. Other than the skin care products and supplements that I use - it is the single-most effective product I’ve used for managing and reducing my rosacea.

A Toe-hican!

skin care foot massage LOL.

I have a little patch of dry skin on my right big toe, I think maybe because it has been hot, and I’ve had smart black shoes on etc etc. I took my socks off tonight and found I have a toe-hican.

Life Style Change

skin care exercise Eat less, exercise more!

And so it begins…today is the first day oh my new diet and exercise plan. I’ve been doing the exercise portion for a week now and it’s going well but the diet part started today. Day one of only meat/eggs/milk/cheese, veggies, and fruit. And it wasn’t bad. My exercise plan is walking for an hour everyday while pushing a kid full mammoth stroller. Then after the kiddos go sleep I do the Crunch - Super SlimDown: Pilates Yoga Blend. Its 45 minutes long so I do that while Evan catches up on freelance.

Frizzy Hair Be Gone!

skin care frizzy hair On the care of frizzy hair.
Perhaps having frizzy hair is the most common complaint I’ve heard from girls. I mean hello, the moment hair relaxing, rebonding, or straightening procedures were born, gosh, the salons have been simply been swarmed with clients! ( whoopee for the salons! )

Working Out

skin care healthy food Check back later for more on health, diet, and supplements.

I’m also working on a serious fitness regime. I have retained a personal trainer, and I work out 7 days per week, twice per day, and am eating very properly. Weight-loss and fitness are things that I’ve written about in the past, but I’m going to start writing more about them. Much more. Not only am I going to write about the mental aspect of fitness, I am also going to write about the physical aspect. This means I’ll be writing about exercises and foods and supplements and all of that. I’ll be creating some new categories for that, and I’m certain that you’ll find this material interesting.
